Serving Grapevine, TX

The Honda CR-V is the sports crossover that has been on the top of many drivers’ lists for years, and it continues to expand its appeal with year-over-year improvements. As you get to know your options in greater detail, you understandably need to learn about updates that have been made to the 2022 CR-V. While the 2021 and 2022 CR-V versions are both part of the model’s fifth generation, there is one crucial difference in capabilities that you need to be aware of before you finalize your selection.

The CR-V is offered in the same five trim levels for 2021 and 2022. These are the LX, Special Edition, EX, EX-L, and Touring. For both years, all trims receive 190 horsepower from a turbo four-cylinder engine. This is paired with a continuously variable transmission. In 2021, all trims are offered with front-wheel drive as a standard feature and all-wheel drive as an option. In 2021, this holds for the first four trim levels. For the top-of-the-line Touring trim level in 2022, all-wheel drive is standard.

Honda has not altered the exterior design of the CR-V between the 2021 and 2022 model years. It continues to have spirited styling with a short, defined nose and an arched roofline. The nose features a molded bumper, a hexagonal grille, and brilliant LED lights. The hood is beautifully defined on the sides. Lower-body molding on the side door panels adds further personality to the CR-V.

The included and available features in the CR-V hold steady on a trim-by-trim basis between 2021 and 2022. The base-level features are forward collision mitigation, auto climate control, a four-speaker sound system, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trim levels for 2021 and 2022 add a nine-speaker sound system, roof rails, an integrated navigation system, a wireless phone charger, leather material, an auto-dimming rear mirror, a power liftgate, front and rear USB ports, and more.
